Complete with the box of issue for Robert Johnson Knotts WW2 campaign medals & the case for his M.B.E. Sadly it looks like despite the fact that he should of been entitled to a Mercantile Marine medal. He never actually received it from the board of trade. The two younger men can be found together on both the 1901 & 1911 census returns living at home at 3 grey street North Shields with Mrs Jane Annie Knott acting as head of the household whilst George Knott was away at sea. The WW1 medals of both George & William Rainey Knott were issued to the same address of 43 Florence Avenue, Gateshead. Although George Knotts medals were issued to his widow Jane Annie knott.
All medals in the group are NEF or better & come complete with copy medal issue documents along with CWGC details for the two casualties & other basic research details.
