Albert.Edwin.Smart served overseas during the great war with the Royal Engineers & transferred to the Royal Corps of Signals on its formation. He was awarded his LS&GC in army order 104 of 1934 & received the 1937 Coronation medal as a WO.CL.2. He was commissioned in to the Royal Corps of Signals with an emergency commission 13-6-1939 & was awarded the Military M.B.E in the London gazette 11-6-1940 & relinquished his commission in 1947 when he reached the age of retirement .By the time he applied for the issue of his WW2 campaign medals in 1949 he was living at Langford station in British Columbia, Canada. He went on to be awarded the Canadian forces decoration as a Major with the Royal Canadian Signals 9-4-1956.
Lightly polished GVF or better & mounted as worn. With minor contact marks & tiny eks. Complete with MIC details, WW2 medal application card details, Army order details & London gazette details.
