Ernest Arthur Clarson served with the 2/8th Royal Warwickshire Regiment in France during WW1 where he was taken prisoner of war 10-4-1918 at Armentieres. He was a resident of Spalding, Lincolnshire & was awarded the Imperial Service medal in the London gazette 17-11-1961 for his services as a higher grade postman in Spalding. He died 8-8-1983 whilst living in Peterborough.
