George William Tebb was born in Nottingham 1900 and enlisted in to the Royal Naval Air Service as a boy mechanic in 1917. He served on UK shore bases with the R.N.A.S & the British war medal is his sole medal entitlement for WW1. He was awarded the RAF LS&GC in 1935 & was commissioned in to the RAF in June 1940. he was awarded the military M.B.E in the London gazette 24-9-1941 for his distinguished services with operational commands of the RAF between 1-10-1940 & 31-3-1941. He retired from the RAF as a Wing commander in 1953 after 36 years service & died in 1980.
