Frank Leslie Haines was born in 1901 & served with the Royal Navy in WW1 as a boy artificer. The British war medal is his sole medal entitlement for his service in WW1. He served during the Arab revolt in Palestine 1936-39 as a Warrant Engineer & served during WW2 as a commissioned engineer. He was M.I.D in the London gazette 11-6-1942 for services onboard HMS Mallard. He was a resident of Kent & died in Chelmsford in July 1970.
