David Armstrong from Pollockshaw served as a volunteer with the 4th battalion of the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders in the Boer war & went on to enlist in to the 1st Cameron Highlanders in 1911. He first landed in France 14-8-1914 & the award of his August to November 1914 clasp is confirmed on his MIC. He transferred to the 9th Black Watch with service number 44091 & was discharged with a silver war badge due to sickness in 1919. He applied for the issue of his August to November 1914 clasp in 1941 whilst living in Methill.
NEF & Complete with MIC & medal roll details. The two clasps on the QSA are loose on the ribbon as issued & the group comes complete with the recipients original pair of WW1 dog tags
