Egypt & Sudan medal with 1882 dated reverse & clasps for Tel-El-Kebir, Suakin 1884, El-Teb-Tamaai, The Nile 1884-85 & Kirbekan, & 1882 dated Khedives star To- 2673.PTE.J.CONNOLLY.1/R.HRS
All five clasps are confirmed on the roll & the Khedives star is unnamed as issued.
The recipient is mentioned by name in my six years with the Black Watch 1881-1887 by John Gordon. In which he relates a tale about the recipient being shot through his Wolsey helmet at Kirbekan 10-2-1885 & being extremely lucky to receive nothing more than a minor flesh wound to his scalp.
