James Barclay first landed in France 14-10-1914 serving with the 9th Brigade of the Royal Field Artillery. But went on to serve in Mesopotamia where he was awarded the Military Medal in the London gazette 21-10-1916 & was Mentioned in Despatches also for services in Mesopotamia in the London gazette 19-10-1916. A nice group with both awards being confirmed awards for service in Mesopotamia.
