William Issac Wallace first landed in France 24-9-1915 serving with the 8th battalion of the Royal West Kent Regiment. He was commissioned in to the 2nd Hampshire regiment 28-5-1918 & was wounded in action 28-9-1918. He sadly died of these wounds 10-10-1918 age 25 & is buried in Haringhe (Bandaghem) military cemetery. The CWGC state that he was the late sson of William & Caroline Wallis of Godalming & the late husband of Emily.J.Wallis of 2 Rosebery villa, Princess road, Maybury, Woking.
