George Law was both born & enlisted in Bradford & first landed overseas in France 14-8-1914 serving with the 2nd battalion of the Duke of Wellington's West Riding Regiment. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 8-11-1914 & having no known grave he is commemorated on the Menin gate memorial at Ypres.
The August to November clasp on the ribbon of the recipients 1914 star is a replacement but the recipients entitlement to the clasp is fully confirmed on his M.I.C
