Stephen Giles Freeman was one of the original members of the 11th service battalion of the East Yorkshire Regiment. This was a new army pals battalion with the secondary title of the Hull tradesmen's battalion. He first landed in Egypt 23-12-1915 & was discharged to the reserve at the wars end.
