Alfred Gorton first landed in France 15-7-1915 serving with the 7th battalion of the Border Regiment. He went on to serve with the 17th service / pioneer battalion of the Worcestershire regiment with service number 130281 & finished his war serving with the Labour corps with service number 64711 prior to his discharge to the class Z army reserve at the wars end.
