Douglas Walton Wheat was a member of D-Coy 22nd Northumberland Fusiliers / 3rd Tyneside Scottish & was captured by the Germans & taken prisoner of war on the first day of the March offensive 31-3-1918. He was a resident of Hinkley & was captured at Bullecourt & held at Munster. He was finally discharged to the class Z reserve in 1919
