William John Hurditch served with the 7th Dragoon Guards in WW1 and was discharged to the class Z army reserve in 1919 & was commissioned in to the post office home guard in London during WW2 & was a member of the 21st City of London (4th P.O.L.T.R) He was awarded the Imperial service medal in the London gazette for his services as a skilled workman class 1 in the London telecommunications region & its worthy of note that on his return from the war in 1918 he was involved in a divorce after he discovered that his wife had been having relations with another soldier in his absence.
