Regimental Orderly Room Serjeant Norman Hickman served for over 20 years with the 3rd volunteer battalion of the Lancashire Fusiliers & was awarded the volunteer long service medal in 1904. He enlisted in to the 15th service battalion of the Lancashire Fusiliers / 1st Salford Pals on the outbreak of WW1 & first landed in France with the battalion 23-11-1915. He served initially with C company but was severely wounded and discharged with a silver war badge 17-3-1918 age 52. A very nice Salford Pals senior warrant officers trio & probably a unique combination to the battalion.
NEF & Complete with MIC details along with medal roll details & details from the Salford pals book & what remains in a very tatty condition of the recipients original honourable discharge scroll.
