Charles Warder was born in Stepney, London 21-4-86 & enlisted in to the Royal Marine Artillery in 1914. He served onboard HMS Indomitable during the Royal Tour of Canada in 1908 & for most of his service afloat during WW1. He was awarded his LS&GC in 1924 & upon his discharge he went on to reside in Eastney, Portsmouth, Hampshire.
