William Pringle was born in Rothbury & both enlisted & lived in Morpeth. He was killed in action in France & Flanders 14-9-1918 serving with 340th battery, 44th Brigade R.F.A. He was 20 years of age at the time of his death & is buried in Roisel communal cemetery extension. He is recorded by the CWGC as the late son of John & Elizabeth Ann Pringle of Harbottle,Morpeth.
