Alexander Watson from Leith enlisted in to the Highland Light Infantry 6-10-1904 & first landed in France 14-8-1914 serving with the 2nd battalion. He was wounded in France 29-10-1914 when he received gun shot wounds to his head & right forearm. He went on to be discharged with a silver war badge due to his wounds 26-7-1915.
