John.R.Wheatley spent all of his war service in India with the 4/7th Brigade of the Royal Field Artillery. He is only entitled to the British War Medal and has no entitlement to the Victory medal. He went on to serve on the North West Frontier 1919 & applied for the issue of his medals in 1923 whilst living in Tongham, Near Farnham, Surrey.
