Melville Davidson was born in Dundee & enlisted in Cowdenbeath, Fife. He transferred to the Royal Engineers with service number 198363 & sadly went on to die of wounds in France & Flanders 30-5-1918. He was 36 years of age at the time of his death & is buried in LONGUENESSE (ST. OMER) SOUVENIR CEMETERY & is recorded by the CWGC as the late son of John and Ann Davidson, of 42, West Port, Dundee.
