Frederick Sykes first landed in France 11-5-1915 serving with the Army Cyclist Corps & went on to transfer to the Machine Gun Corps with service number 159135. He applied for the issue of his campaign medals in 1920 whilst living at 11 High Street, Portobello, Edinburgh.
