WW1 Pair & Memorial plaque with original documents
To- 2-LIEUT.F.MASTERTON.
Frank Masterton first landed in France as a WO.CL.2 with the Royal Fusiliers 15-3-1917 & went on to be commissioned in to his own unit in January of the following year. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 5-4-1918 serving with the 9th battalion & is buried in Bouzincourt ridge cemetery. He was 38 years of age at the time of his death & is recorded by the CWGC as the late son of Charles William Masterton & Emily Masterton nee Jones & the late husband of Lizzie Lowe from the Isle of Wight.
