Edward James Lilley was born at Eastchurch, Kent 19-1-1865 & enlisted in to the Royal Navy in 1886. He was awarded his LS&GC in 1901 & served aboard HMS Pomone during the Somaliland campaign of 1902-04. He was discharged to a pension in 1908 & died in Kent in 1937
