John.R.Tennant first landed in France 5-11-1914 serving with the 5th battalion of the Scottish Rifles. He went on to serve with the Army Service Corps with service number M2-176541. Before returning to his old unit. He was discharged at the wars end and the award of his efficiency medal was published in army order 51 dated February 1922. The award of the August to November 1914 clasp is confirmed on his MIC which states the clasp was issued to the recipient in December 1932.
