James Herd first landed in France 12-10-1914 & is entitled to the August to November 1914 clasp for the ribbon of his 1914 star. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 9-11-1914 just 28 days after landing in France. He was both born & enlisted in Forfar & is buried in Browns road military cemetery at Festubert. read more
