Douglas Blanchard was a member of the Special Reserve serving with the 3rd Middlesex Regiment. He first landed in France 3-10-1915 serving with the 2nd Dorset Regiment & went on to serve in Salonica. He applied for the issue of his campaign medals in 1921 whilst living in Brockenhurst, Hampshire.
