Henry William Adams was born in Pembrokshire 20-10-1875 & enlisted in to the Royal Marines in London 20-2-1893. He served on land in South Africa from the crew of HMS Terpsichore 1-2-1901 through to 1-5-1902 when he drowned at Mombasa.

Charles Nicol from Aberdeen enlisted in to the Gordon Highlanders in December 1888 & served with the Regiment in India during the 1895 relief of Chitral. He went on to serve with the regiment during the Boer war of 1899-1902 & finally took his discharge in February 1902 after 12 years service.
