William Moore from Ardwick was awarded the Military Medal for services in France in the London gazette 11-1-1918 & was initially reported as wounded & then reported as both wounded & missing on the first day of the March offensive 21-3-1918. He was actually wounded and taken prisoner 21-3-1918 whilst serving with D.company at Hargicourt & was held as a P.O.W at Parchim.
