Charles Napier Reed first landed in France 31-3-1915 serving with the Gloucester Regiment. He was commissioned in to the South Wales Borderers 6-7-1915 and was killed in action in France & Flanders 24-11-1917 serving with the 12th service battalion. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the Cambrai memorial. His trio was issued in 1921 and was sent to his father Mr.C.H.Reed, 35 Fields Road, Newport, Mommouthshire.
