To- ABIN.GEORGE.TOMKINS
Albin George Tomkins was educated at Rugby School & commissioned in to the Irish Guards. He was killed in action in France & Flanders 13-9-1916 serving as a 2nd Lieutenant with the 2nd battalion. It was his first day of service in the trenches & he was 31 years of age at the time of his death. He buried in Guillemont road cemetery at Guillemont and is recorded by the CWGC as the late son of Albin & Rosa Cavell Tomkins & the late Husband of Hilda Case Sinclair (Formerly Tomkins) of Ene-Ametza, Biarritz, France.
