WW2 GROUP WITH GSM PALESTINE 1945-48 & ISM, R.A.F & MINISTRY OF DEFENCE

the recipient was awarded his ISM in the London gazette 9-8-1983 for his services as a laboratory mechanic with the ministry of defence.
The first four medals in the group are mounted on a bar as worn & the ISM is in its original case of issue.
A less than common combination with only the one campaign star & no 1939-45 star. This indicates that most of the recipients service was not in an active theatre of war & he spent less than six months in an active theatre during WW2. Hence he qualified for the Italy service whilst in the Mediterranean but did not have the required six months in theatre of the 1939-45 Star.
The first four medals are GVF/VF whilst the ISM is mint cased. Complete with London gazette details for the ISM.
