Alexander McEwen was a resident of Perth and enlisted in to the Clyde division R.N.V.R. He was attached to the Howe battalion of the Royal Naval Division & served on Mudros & Gallipoli before going on to serve in France. He received a gun shot wound to the right shoulder 13-11-1916 which resulted in his discharge with a silver war badge.
