John James Cunningham was born in Barony, Lanarkshire & enlisted in Glasgow. He first landed in France 12-10-1914 serving with the 1st battalion Seaforth Highlanders Died of wounds 2-2-1915. He is buried in Siloe St James churchyard. Soldiers died in the great war states that he died of wounds in France & Flanders 2-6-1915 but both the CWGC and his MIC state 2-2-1915 & he is buried at home. He is entitled to the 1914 star trio.
