WW1 Victory Medal

Lewis Alexander was born in Duffus, Elgin and lived in Elgin. He enlisted in to the Scots Guards in Glasgow and first landed in France 7-10-1914. He sadly died of wounds 1-10-1915 serving with the 2nd battalion and is buried in Lapugnoy military cemetery. He was 24 years of age at the time of his death & the CWGC state that he was the late son of James & Isabella Alexander of West Ferniefield, Urquhart, Elgin. Morayshire. He is entitled to the 1914 star trio.
