Annabelle Allan-Grant from Wetney Bridge Inverness-shire enlisted in the the British Red Cross Society in 1914 under he maiden name of Annabelle Steele. She transferred to the Q.A.I.M.N.S.R in 1915 and served and went on to serve in France from 1916 and in the army of occupation of the Rhine at NO-42 stationary hospital. She left Germany in September 1919 & left the service the following year.
