WW1 Victory medal & Memorial Plaque
To- 4329.PTE.P.McEWEN.R.HIGHRS
Peter McEwan was born & enlisted in Perth and first landed in France serving with the 1/7th battalion of the Black Watch with service number 4329. He was later issued with service number S-40023 and transferred to the 1/9th battalion. He was killed in action in France & Flanders 8-9-1916 and is buried in Delville Wood cemetery ay Longueval.
