John Wright from Glasgow was born 11-6-1919 and enlisted in to the 7th battalion of the Cameronians / Scottish Rifles 22-3-1939. He worked as a wholesale newspaper supplier for William Holmes and company of Glasgow and upon his call up served with the same battalion for the duration of the war including service with the B.E.F in 1940 & in North West Europe 1944-1945. He was awarded his efficiency medal in army order 48 of 1946.
WW2 Medals mint with box of issue & complete with the recipients AB64 Army paybook, Soldiers class A release book, letter of transfer to the reserve dated 1946, a reference for a civilian job dated 1957 and a rare copy of the 7th battalion history of the campaign in North West Europe.
