WW1 1914-15 Trio with Memorial Plaque & Memorial Scroll To- 2-LIEUT.G.E.BARBER.LANC.FUS.
George Ernest Barber was educated at King Edwards School, Bath, Somerset & was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 7-7-1916 serving with the 10th battalion of the Lancashire Fusiliers. He was 20 years of age at the time of his death & having no known grave he is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. The CWGC state that he was the late son of William John & Mary Barber of Kenilworth, Hayesfield Park, Bath, Somerset.
The scroll is housed in a small glazed period frame & the medals are GVF or better.
