WW1 Pair, WW2 Defence & War medals & GVIR 1944 dated efficiency decoration (TD)
To- CAPT.T.C.CHALMERS
The recipient was educated at Merchiston castle school 1906-1909 and was commissioned in to the Ayrshire Yeomanry. He was attached to the Indian Army for service in WW1 and returned to the Ayrshire yeomanry in the Inter war years. He was still serving with the regiment in WW2 when he became part of the Royal Artillery for the duration of the war. He was awarded his TD in the London gazette 17-8-1944 & went on to retire due to his age in 1945 with the rank of Major.
NEF/GVF or better & swing mounted as worn. Complete with a couple of printed copy images of the recipient. Along with London gazette details & other basic research.
