Bertram William Rogers from Wicklow was born 1879 and enlisted in to the Royal Field Artillery inn 1894 age 15. He first landed in France 19-8-1914 serving with the 23rd Brigade of the R.F.A and was M.I.D for services in France in the London gazette 20-10-1914 as a continuation of a despatch dated 8-10-1914. His LS&G was actually his first medal awarded and was awarded to the recipient in 1912.
