George Edward Sadler was born in Bedminster, Bristol 21-7-1883 and served with the 2nd volunteer company of the Gloucester regiment in the Boer war of 1899-1902. He almost immediately enlisted in to the Royal Marine Artillery in August 1902 and was awarded the RN Good shooting medal whilst serving onboard HMS Hindustan 26-9-1913 & manning the 3 pound gun.. He was awarded the RN LS&GC in October 1917 and the Belgian Croix-De-Guerre in the London gazette 17-10-1919. He left the service in 1923 and went to serve with the RFR. He sadly died 4-1-1964 age 81.
Polished VF or better with minor contact marks. A rare if not unique combination of awards & a scarce Croix-De-Guerre to the R.M.A.
