Alan Brady Hoare was killed in action in France & Flanders 26-10-1917 serving with the 2/5th battalion of the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. He was 35 years of age at the time of his death & having no known grave he is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial. He is recorded by the CWGC as the late son of Edward Brodie Hoare & the late husband of Audrey Lois Hoare of 64 Napier Court, Hurlingham, London. He was a former pupil of both Harrow & Cambridge college & is written up in the Harrow memorial book.
