A very nice family group gallantry & casualty group to two brothers from Burnley, Lancs
1) GVR 1st type WW1 Military Medal (MM) & pair with WW2 Defence medal
To- 104476.PTE.H.H.COULSON.99/FA.R.A.M.C
Hardy Helmsley Coulson was a resident of Burnley & was awarded the Military Medal for services at the 3rd battle of Ypres in the London gazette 17-12-1917 for his services with the 99th field ambulance of the Royal Army Medical Corps.
2) WW1 Pair & Memorial Plaque

Harry Coulson from Burnley was killed in action in France & Flanders 15-6-1918 serving with the 147th siege battery of the Royal Garrison Artillery. He was 23 years of age at the time of his death & is buried in Esquelbecq military cemetery.
Both men were the sons of David & Kate Coulson of 31 March street, Burnley,
All medals in both groups are GVF/NEF & the MM group is mounted on a bar as worn. The Memorial plaque has been lightly cleaned & is GVF.
Complete with MIC details, London gazette details, CWGC details, SDGW details & other research details including the original condolence / issue slip for the medals to the casualty & a copy image of the MM recipient.
