William Charles Muggridge first served overseas with the territorial service number 2496 & went on to be issued with the six figure TF number 514550 which was part of the number block issued to the Devon fortress companies of the Royal Engineers Territorial Force 514001 to 516000. He was awarded the Imperial Service Medal in the London gazette 23-8-1955 for his services as a postman higher grade at Edenbridge sub office, Tonbridge.
