George Alfred Green first landed in France 27-6-1915 serving with the 1/7th battalion of the Durham Light Infantry. In 1918 his mother sent an enquiry to the British Red Cross as she had not had word from him for some time & she suspected that he may of been a prisoner of war. The family home address at this stage was 24 Shepherd street, Millfield, Sunderland. He went on to serve with the special constabulary in the inter war period & on in to WW2.
Lightly cleaned VF or better & complete with MIC details, medal roll details & other basic research.
