Colin McCallum was born in Rothesay, Buteshire & enlisted in Glasgow. He first landed in France 10-5-15 serving with the 9th service battalion of the Seaforth Highlanders. He died of wounds in France & Flanders 15-10-1915 & is buried in Railway dugouts burial ground (Transport Farm) He was 18 years of age at the time of his death & is recorded by the CWGC as the late son of Maggie Rodger (Formerly McCallum) of Nanby villa, Port Bannatyne, Rothesay.
