1914 Star trio with French Croix De Guerre 1914-1917 To- 5590.PTE / A-SJT.S.A.BROWN.1-DNS
Sydney Archibald Brown from Swanley, Kent first landed in France 15-8-1914 serving with the 1st Royal Dragoons & later went on to transfer to the Military Mounted Police with service number P-5242. He was awarded the French Croix De Guerre in the London gazette 22-11-1918.
The Croix De Guerre has the 1914-1917 reverse & the group is mounted on a bar as worn. The clasp on the recipients 1914 star is a period tailors slide on clasp.
