Titus Whitfield from Shipley was the son of C whitfield of C.Whitfield & Sons Plumbers of Shipley. He originally enlisted in to the West Riding Regiment but was commissioned in to the West Yorkshire regiment before arriving in France in 1917. He returned to the family business in Shipley as a director in 1920 & joined the Special Constabulary in 1936. He served with them from 1936 onwards & was still serving as a section leader when he was awarded the 1953 Coronation medal.
GVF or better & swing mounted as worn. Complete with a silver & enamel neck badge / jewel for the past president of the Bradford & District master plumbers association which is fully hallmarked to the reverse & named to the recipient as president 1952-1953. Along with a copy newspaper article about the recipient & his good work within the local community in Saltaire & Shipley, MIC details, medal roll details & other basic research
