John Muir from Kirkfieldbank, Lanarkshire first landed on theatre of war 2B Gallipoli / the Balkans 3-9-1915 attached to the 7th Royal Scots & went on to be awarded the immediate Meritorious Service Medal (M.S.M) for services in France in the London gazette 5-6-1919. He was discharged to the army reserve 15-3-1919 & had been awarded the T.F.E.M in 1917.
