To- LIEUT.H.V.HIGGINS.
Harry Vincent Higgins was the son of E.B.Higgins of Surrey & was born at Birkenhead 14-9-1882. He was educated at Sedburgh school & was working as a cotton broker at on the outbreak of war. He was commissioned in the Liverpool regiment 9-4-1915 & was one of the original officers of the 17th battalion / Liverpool pals. he transferred to the M.G.C prior to being posted overseas & was serving with the 116th company when he was killed in action in France & Flanders 3-9-1916. He is buried in Serre road cemetery No-2 & was 33 years of age at the time of his death.
